Dear Supporters:
Throughout my judicial service, I have been committed to fairness and equal justice for all and ensuring that every person is treated with respect and dignity. Judges must be knowledgeable, willing to listen and learn, and adapt to changes in the laws, policies, and procedures. Most importantly, a judge must adhere to the law and make rulings consistent with the same. As former Probate Judge and Chief State Court Judge, I took a solemn oath to do just that. With your support, I will continue to uphold the same oath as Superior Court Judge of Rockdale County.
Sincerely,
Clarence Cuthpert, Jr. - Former Chief State Court Judge
To uphold the rule of law with fairness and impartiality in the administration of justice, keep our communities safe, protect the rights of all citizens, and provide superior service to the public in the pursuit of justice.
Honesty is more than always telling the truth. To lead with honesty, one must be willing to listen to all parties prior to decision-making. Honesty is intentional - following through with commitments, being accountable, and establishing a foundation of trust.
Integrity is to employ and adhere to a high moral standard without corruption. A person of integrity consistently adheres to ethical principles and behaves justly - even when no one is watching.
Respect acknowledges the law and accepts that these laws (regardless of our personal agreement) were made in the best interest of all people. Additionally, respect in law extends to include the understanding that the laws are not made for a particular group but for all people, and as such those rights and protections should be safeguarded.
Life isn't always fair, but as a judge, I must work relentlessly to ensure fairness under the law. I have accepted the responsibility to perform my duties impartially establishing a reasonable certainty that the standard of due process has been upheld without personal bias.
Equality is a matter of being equal in the adherence and administration of the law as well as in the way that you enforce, apply, and protect it for individuals. Equality understands that the law is not created based on people groups but in the interest of protecting all rights of all people.
The law is not limited by an individual's zip code, bank account, or position. Each individual is guaranteed certain rights under the law, and it is my job and pledge that those rights be administered regardless of any circumstance.
"Clarence Cuthpert, Jr. came out to check on him. Although he was dressed in business attire, he stood in burned debris and rubble to speak with my uncle. "
